March to October. From December to February snow usually closes the road beyond Sharda, so Kel and Taobat can’t be reached.

Day-by-Day Itinerary

Day 1

Islamabad → Muzaffarabad

Head to Muzaffarabad with an optional stop at Mall Road in Murree, refreshments and photos at Kohala Kashmir Point and Dulai Waterfall at Chattar Klas. Relax in the evening in the garden of the PC hotel, with views over the city.

Overnight PC Muzaffarabad

Day 2

Muzaffarabad → Pir Chinasi

Visit the Red Fort and enjoy city views from Eagle Heights, then drive up to Pir Chinasi for green meadows, a hike and refreshments.

Overnight PC Muzaffarabad

Day 3

Muzaffarabad → Keran

Into Neelum Valley past Patika, Panjgran and Dhani waterfalls, Nauseri Dam, Kundal Shahi and Athmuqam to Keran. For more adventure, add a side trip to Baboon Valley or a horse ride to Ratti Gali Lake.

Overnight Keran

Day 4

Keran → Sharda

Past Khawaja Seri and Dosut to Sharda for river rafting, boating, trout fishing, the ancient Sharda ruins and Noori Top.

Overnight PTDC Sharda

Day 5

Sharda → Kel → Kutton

Visit Kel, then drive back to Kundal Shahi and up to Kutton Waterfall.

Overnight Jagran Resort, Kutton

Day 6

Kutton → Muzaffarabad → Dayar Resort

Back to Muzaffarabad to shop for Kashmiri handicrafts at Madina Market, then turn off at Kohala towards Dhirkot for Dayar Resort — its garden, a hike, the valley viewpoint and sunset.

Day 7

Dayar Resort → Islamabad

Return to Islamabad. End of tour.
