Best Time to Visit Skardu
- Spring (mid-March to mid-April): cherry blossom season, when the valleys turn pink and white.
- Summer (May to August): pleasant weather, green valleys and Deosai open — the best time for families.
- Autumn (October to November): golden trees and clear skies, a favourite for honeymoon trips.
- Winter (December to February): snow-covered valleys and frozen lakes. Travel by air or the Besham route, as the Naran route and Deosai are closed.

By air, the flight from Islamabad to Skardu takes about an hour, depending on the weather. By road you can travel via the Naran route in summer or the Besham route along the Karakoram Highway — a long, scenic drive that we break with an overnight stop.
