Fly to Skardu and visit Lower Kachura Lake at Shangri-La Resort, Upper Kachura Lake and Soq Valley.

Katpana → Manthoka Waterfall
An early visit to Katpana Lake and desert, just behind the airport, then Manthoka Waterfall, about 2 hours from Skardu.

Khaplu
Drive to Khaplu for Khaplu Palace, the Chaqchan Mosque, Khanqah-e-Moalla, the organic rest house at Ghowari, Sogha village and Crystal Lake.

Skardu is a favourite getaway for families from Karachi — cool air, stunning mountains and a complete change from the heat and hustle of the city. The road is very long, but direct flights from Karachi run a couple of days a week, so you can be in the mountains in a few hours.
Over five days you’ll see the Kachura lakes and Soq Valley, Katpana, Manthoka Waterfall, Khaplu and Shigar Valley. For more adventure, add the Deosai Plains or Basho Valley. Hotels are economy, with deluxe or premium on request. Airfare isn’t included.
