A 6 to 7 hour drive on the Hazara Motorway, with stops at the Makra Peak viewpoint and Kiwai Waterfall.

Saif-ul-Malook Lake
By jeep to Saif-ul-Malook Lake for a private boat ride, photos and a walk, then Naran Bazaar.

Naran → Babusar Top → Gilgit
Via Batakundi, with breakfast at the Moon Restaurant in Jalkhad, Lulusar Lake, glaciers, the zipline and cycling at Babusar Top and the Nanga Parbat viewpoint, to Gilgit.

Naltar Valley → Karimabad
Satrangi, Blue and Firoza lakes in Naltar Valley, then on to Karimabad.

Boating on Attabad Lake, the Hussaini Suspension Bridge, and a nature walk in Gulmit village.

Khunjerab Pass
Past Passu village, the Passu Cones and glacier and Sost to the China border.

Nagar and the Hopper Glacier
Visit Nagar Khas, about 18 km from Ganesh Bridge, with views of Rakaposhi, then 9 km on to Hopper village and the Hopper Glacier for refreshments and photos.

Explore Altit and Baltit forts, Karimabad Bazaar for dried fruit and handicrafts, and Eagle’s Nest viewpoint at Duikar for the sunset and views of Ladyfinger Peak.

Drive back down the Karakoram Highway and over Babusar Top to Naran.

The route uses Babusar Top, which is usually open from about May or June to October. Outside those months we can take the Karakoram Highway via Besham instead.
Yes. It is a long day trip from Karimabad along the Karakoram Highway, open in summer and autumn and closed in winter. Carry your CNIC or passport.
By jeep on a 4×4 track from the Naltar turn-off near Nomal. The jeep is hired locally and isn’t included in the price.
