Day-by-Day Itinerary
Day 1
Islamabad → Muzaffarabad → Pir Chinasi
Pickup in Islamabad and drive to Dulai for the waterfall and refreshments, then lunch in Muzaffarabad. In the evening, drive up to Pir Chinasi for a nature walk, mountain views and photos.

Day 2
Muzaffarabad → Keran → Sharda
An early start into Neelum Valley, past Dhani and Panjgran waterfalls, Nauseri Dam, Chalyana, the Kundal Shahi waterfall and Athmuqam. Stop in Keran for a riverside walk and photos, then reach Sharda for river rafting, a short trek and the ancient Sharda ruins.

Sharda → Kel → Arang Kel
Drive to Kel and explore its surroundings, then take the short hike up to Arang Kel for its green meadows, streams and beautiful landscape.

The road to Muzaffarabad is smooth, so a Corolla GLi is comfortable. From Muzaffarabad onwards the road gets more adventurous, so a Toyota Prado makes the trip smoother and safer.
By chairlift from Kel, then a short hike to the village, or on foot all the way. The walk is manageable for most families at an easy pace.
March to October. From December to February snow usually closes the road beyond Sharda, so Kel, Arang Kel and Taobat can’t be reached.
