Is this tour suitable for families?

Yes, for families and couples who are happy with long road days — the drives between Naran and Hunza take 10 to 12 hours.

Which hotels are included?

Sarai Hotel in Naran, Hunza Serena Inn in Karimabad and Lodges by Baron at Attabad Lake. We confirm the hotel for the last night in Naran when you book.

Can we visit Khunjerab Pass?

Yes. It is a long day trip from Karimabad along the Karakoram Highway, open in summer and autumn and closed in winter. Carry your CNIC or passport.

When can we do this tour?

In summer, usually June to September, when Babusar Top is open. Outside those months the Naran route is closed by snow, and we can plan the trip on the Karakoram Highway via Besham instead.

Is breakfast included?

Yes. Breakfast is included every day. Lunch, dinner and personal expenses are not.

Day 1

Islamabad → Naran

Via Balakot River Point and Kiwai Waterfall, then up the Kaghan Valley to Naran.

Overnight Sarai Hotel, Naran, in an executive room

Day 2

Naran → Babusar Top → Karimabad

A 10 to 12 hour drive past Batakundi and Lulusar Lake, over Babusar Top and up the Karakoram Highway past the Three Mountain Junction and Rakaposhi, with an evening in Karimabad Bazaar.

Day 3

Karimabad

Altit and Baltit forts, Eagle’s Nest viewpoint at Duikar and the old streets of Hunza.

Day 4

Upper Hunza and Khunjerab Pass

Attabad Lake, the Passu Cones, the Hussaini Suspension Bridge and Sost on the way to the Khunjerab Pass, then back to Attabad Lake.

Hunza → Naran

Down the Karakoram Highway and back over Babusar Top to Naran.

HUNZA AND THE KHUNJERAB PASS WITH PREMIUM STAYS

A 6-day premium road trip from Islamabad to Hunza and the China border. Day one follows the Kaghan Valley to Naran, and day two crosses Babusar Top past Lulusar Lake and runs up the Karakoram Highway, with views of Rakaposhi, to Karimabad.

You spend a day at Altit and Baltit forts, Eagle’s Nest and Karimabad Bazaar, and a day in Upper Hunza at Attabad Lake, the Passu Cones, the Hussaini Suspension Bridge and the Khunjerab Pass, with a night by Attabad Lake. The last two days bring you back via Naran.
