Day 1
Islamabad → Mingora
An early pickup and a 3 to 4 hour drive to Mingora for Fizagat Park — its zoo, river lifts, cable cars and Swat River views — and the Swat Museum.

In Upper Dir. From Swat, the road goes back to Chakdara and up through Dir to Thal, the gateway to Kumrat. Kala Chashma and Jaz Banda are reached by local jeep from Thal, and the jeeps aren’t included.
