Where Is Murree?
Murree is a hill station in the Rawalpindi District of Punjab, in the foothills of the Himalayas. It sits at 2,291 metres (7,516 feet) above sea level and is about 65 km from Islamabad — 1 to 2 hours by car on the Murree Expressway, depending on traffic. That makes it one of the top weekend getaways for people living in Islamabad and Rawalpindi.
Murree is also the starting point for the nearby hill resorts of Patriata (New Murree), Bhurban, Ayubia and Nathia Gali, about 35 km further on through the Galiyat.

Murree is pleasant in every season. In summer it offers green views, a relaxing atmosphere and cool evenings, and people come from all over Pakistan to escape the heat of the plains.
